Our Story

Lake House Woodwork was born from the love for beautiful things and the desire to waste nothing. We are a husband and wife team, Noah and Ashley Lake, who were both born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii—our roots and love for the land is strong.
Noah is our maker. As a third generation woodworker, he grew up in a shop that specializes in fine furniture which produces many offcuts of high-quality wood. Instead of seeing those go to the burn pile, he's chosen to give them life in new form. If you're holding a Lake House Woodwork creation, Noah's hands made it.
Ashley is our communicator. She is a writer with a background in design and marketing. Currently she writes novels and is the words, pictures, beta tester and customer service behind Lake House Woodwork. If you're talking to us, you're probably talking to her.
Most of the wood we use is locally sourced Hawai'i hardwood, and it's not unusual for Noah to have milled the trees himself.
We believe in creating beautiful, high quality works of art for everyday use in your home—heirloom quality at affordable prices.
If you care for your pieces, they will last for generations. Just think of the stories they'll tell.
